All Things Dog Room

I was introduced to the dog obedience sport 30 years ago with my first dog who had been returned to his breeder as unmanageable at 18 months of age. All he needed was someone to have a conversation with him and we figured out the language together. I will always treasure my memories of that first dog and me learning how to use a leash.

We trained in the community center gym once a week and in the house, backyard, driveway, barn, abandoned tennis court, etc. the rest of the time. Throughout the years I would carve out a bit of training area in a garage or under used room. Often, I thought about having an indoor space devoted to training.

So, here I am 30 years later, retired and jumping into a new chapter, creating that dreamed of training space. I’m so excited to be able to share it with the dog sport community.

Rentals and Services

All Things Dog Room (Unit 100, 2270 Cliffe Avenue, Courtenay) offers rental of the training room to individuals and training groups. It is also available for seminars, meetings and workshops.

TRAINING RENTAL FEE SCHEDULE

1 hour for 1 person $17.50

11/2 hours for 1 person $26.25

½ hour for 1 person $10.00

(each additional person add $10/hr)

Gold Room is 1 hour for $15.00

People with a reserved weekly time slot are asked to pay for the month at the beginning of the month. Contact Kim for class and full day rates.

THE GOLD ROOM

The second training room is just about ready to go, old rubber tiles are down for now with new flooring coming. The space is 600 square feet, 20’x30′, mirror and no posts! It’s ideal for one person working on change of position, broad jump, articles, etc. anything that does not require a bigger distance. Contact allthingsdogroom@gmail.com to book your time.
